BONA DRAG

They even got some Sophomore.

Bona Drag meaning "nice outfit" came from the secret language called POLARI, that was used by the gay culture in London during the 60's.
"Bona Drag showcases a tightly curated collection of ladies flair and general trinkets from independent to hard-to-find designers, as well as select vintage."(from site)

Kime Buzzelli

I am intrigued by the mind of Kime Buzzelli, her art is so magnificent and beautiful.

.In her words-"I make paintings and drawings inspired by fashion, film, music and make believe . I like layering images on heavy papers using watered down paints and markers. I fancy the parts in stories where something unusual happens, or is about to happen. I like filling in the blanks in a scene or deciding what may occur next. I'm attracted to mistakes in text. I heart mysteries and voyeurism.
My work space is currently in Echo Park, CA. I like to work at night, listening to records, while eating cold pizza."

Kime is also the owner of a fashion/art boutique called SHOWPONY in L.A.
which is a "fashion & art installation space located in Echo Park, CA. The gallery established itself in 2000, and is home to local artists and designers who create magical one of kind pieces. On the first Saturday of every month, Show Pony and the rest of the galleries on the block have new ART/Fashion displayed." (from showpony.com)

Kim Krans

Kim Krans was born and grew up in northern Michigan and received her BFA
from Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, New York, and is a
recent recipient of an MFA degree from Hunter College, New York. She lives
and works in NY. Working with sculpture and works on paper, often built into
reliefs protruding from the wall, Krans work relates to the construction of
our emotional engagement with nature and landscape.
Her work is overpriced(whos isnt though) but very unique and beautiful.

Samantha Pleet

"New York-based designer Samantha Pleet has been charming everyone with her sartorial alchemy since her debut collection in fall 2006. Now into her 5th season, Pleet has been inspired by traveling the world in search of beauty and mystery. The Pratt alumna established her design studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in spring 2005. Born in Philadelphia in 1981, she began studying many realms of the art world from a young age. She tried it all, but it was clear that fashion was her passion. She loved making clothes for all the various characters she and her friends could imagine and she still continues this practice today. Samantha brings her fantasies to reality with her dandy-inspired tailored jackets with matching rompers, mini dresses, and tunics."(from site)
